How to Donate to Grant a Gift This Giving Tuesday
Giving Tuesday happens this year on Tuesday, November 28th. According to the Giving Tuesday website, it is a day that we all unite for a worldwide celebration of generosity. Giving Tuesday is an opportunity for people around the world to come together through generosity in all its forms by sharing acts of kindness and giving their voice, time, money, goods, and advocacy to support communities and causes.
The mission of Grant a Gift Autism Foundation – Ackerman Center is to provide comprehensive clinical services, resources, education, research, and advocacy for individuals and families living with autism and other neurodevelopmental conditions.
To help our mission, we are sharing two ways that you can donate to Grant a Gift this Giving Tuesday!
1. Purchase and Donate Items on our Amazon Wish List
In celebration of the giving season, we are launching our own Giving December! We are seeking support for our clients. This year we ask that you consider purchasing items from our Amazon Wish List for our center. We have a need to replace items that have a lot of wear and tear. Our list includes toys and learning materials, treasure box items, and testing materials. These items are essential for the day-to-day success of our clients.
Please follow these instructions carefully so the Wish List items make it to us!
Click on the Wish List button
Choose items that you wish to donate and "Add to Cart"
When complete, go to your Cart and click "Proceed to Checkout"
IMPORTANT: Please choose “Grant a Gift Autism Foundation - Ackerman Center's Gift Registry Address” in the list of possible shipping addresses.
Pay and complete the order. Thank you!
2. Consider a Monthly Donation to Grant a Gift
Another great way to support Grant a Gift this Giving Tuesday is to commit to a monthly donation that will go towards the clinical, vocational, and family support services that we offer to the families we serve.
While we have worked hard this past year to reduce the waitlist of clients, it is still long to see a specialist at the Ackerman Autism Center. Additionally, the cost to implement our programs and services continues to rise. For example:
Our Career Access for Neurodiversity (CAN) Program costs over $1,000 per session per client.
A single neuropsychic evaluation for one client is $3,000.
Our SPARK program costs $1,500 per session per client.
Any amount you choose to donate each month is appreciated and goes towards these very important services and programs for families in the Las Vegas Valley affected by autism and other neurodevelopmental conditions. We thank you for your continued support of Grant a Gift.
Click the button below and choose "Monthly" donation.
We hope you have a wonderful start to your Holidays and thank you for considering Grant a Gift as you plan your giving this season.
