Social Night Out “Fiesta” Party

A couple of weeks ago the Grant a Gift programs team held a “Fiesta” party for our WORKS clients. These events are a great opportunity for our teens and young adults to socialize with each other in a fun and safe environment.

Attendees were given the opportunity to listen to Mexican music, interact with each other while learning how to play Loteria, and even had the opportunity to try Mexican snacks and candy.

Our young adults were also able to generalize their social skills and self-advocate for themselves when they needed a break to be able to get some quite time. The young adults watched Nacho Libre and enjoyed each other’s company. As a fun ending activity the young adults were able to break a piñata!
