Happy Holidays! Gratitude & Appreciation As We Reflect on 2022

Brian Hager, President of Grant a Gift Autism Foundation - Ackerman Center

As the holidays draw close and the New Year is upon us, allow me to take a moment to reflect on the past year here at Grant A Gift Autism Foundation – Ackerman Center.

My first thought is that of gratitude. Deep appreciation and gratitude to you, our valued clients, team members, donors, supporters, volunteers, and board members who are a constant source of support, trust, and friendship.

As an organization, we have been through a lot of change over the past several years, but this year we saw great accomplishment, advancement, and hope for the future. We were blessed to be bestowed with a large grant from the state to expand our care team – the first contribution of this kind from our state, to make sure that our community can access our services here in Southern Nevada and throughout the state. During an evening of philanthropy and friendship at our largest and most successful 12th annual Grant A Gift Gala, our dear friend, Mr. Bill Hornbuckle announced another significant contribution towards our vocational program, from MGM Resorts International – $1 million over the next 5 years, showing just how much confidence and trust he has in our program, which aims to provide those with autism spectrum disorder to learn vital skills to ensure a brighter future.

We still have a lot of work ahead of us to continue helping our clients and families reach their fullest potential. 2023 and beyond will continue to bring more change and growth for the organization, with the goal of helping as many families as possible. As we expand our care team and services provided, we strive to be the leader in service delivery and resources for those in their time of need.

Our work is on-going, not only in the care we provide for our clients, but in the advocacy work done across the state, supporting and helping change legislation to give our clients an opportunity to achieve their dreams. None of which is possible without the generosity of our donors and sponsors and the encouragement and dedication from our clients, families, and the community at large.

We continue to be inspired and sincerely thankful for your continued support and passion for our mission. Witnessing the progress that each of our clients has made is truly inspirational and is a daily reminder of what it means to join hands in partnership, community, and determination to continue to fight for a better tomorrow.

On behalf of all the providers, staff, clients, and families, I hope that you will remain close to our cause over the next year and grow with us as we reach new heights.

Wishing all of you the happiest and healthiest of holidays and a safe and prosperous New Year.
