A Sensational Success: Blue Man Group's Sensory-Friendly Performance Raises Over $13,000 for Grant a Gift Autism Foundation - Ackerman Center

Last Saturday, June 17, 2023, the Blue Man Group hosted the return of their annual Sensory-Friendly Performance benefitting Grant a Gift Autism Foundation - Ackerman Center. The event, held at the Luxor Hotel and Casino, not only captivated attendees with its signature blend of music, comedy, and stunning visuals but also made a remarkable impact on the community. Thanks to the over 675 community members, families, and supporters in attendance, the show raised an amazing $13,000 in support of Grant a Gift.

The Blue Man Group show was a mesmerizing and unforgettable spectacle that transcended traditional performance boundaries. With their iconic blue faces and enigmatic personas, the Blue Men effortlessly blended music, comedy, and technology to create a sensory feast for the audience.

With many children and young adults on the autism spectrum in the audience, the Blue Men did a spectacular job creating a memorable performance with slight modifications that included reduced sound and light levels as well as limited their audience interaction. Earplugs & sunglasses were handed out and quiet zones were available in the lobby for anyone seeking a sensory break from the high-energy show.

We thank them for their partnership in taking the audience on a journey of wonder, laughter, and pure entertainment. It was a high-energy celebration of human connection, inviting all to embrace their own uniqueness and revel in the joyous celebration of art, music, and the shared human experience.

A special thank you to Luxor Las Vegas for donating water and popcorn to our guests, and Accelerated Learning Academy for sponsoring Grant A Gift Autism Foundation - Ackerman Center clients and their families to enjoy the show.

The funds raised from this sensational event will be used to further our mission of providing comprehensive clinical services, resources, education, research, and advocacy for the development of meaningful solutions and providing better outcomes for individuals, families, and our community living with autism and other neurodevelopmental disabilities.

All funds raised at this event will stay in Nevada, and go towards impacting our clients, their families, and our community. Thank you to all who came out and supported!
