Nearly 66% of adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) are unemployed*

We believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential. Through our Vocational Programs and with community partners, we ensure teens and adults with autism are provided the support necessary to gain meaningful employment or prepare to start their own business.

WORKS program

WORKS Community (Working on Occupational Readiness, Knowledge, and Skills)

A community-based vocational program, serving teens and young adults with an autism spectrum disorder. In addition to learning pivotal vocational skills such as building a resume and interviewing, clients work at a variety of partnered community sites throughout their time in the program. With the support of a job coach, clients gain job readiness skills and are better equipped to successfully transition into an internship and other areas of adulthood. WORKS Community includes weekly sessions at a partnered community site, weekly job coach support, an assigned caseworker, Parent Empowerment Training, and access to other family services provided by our Navigation Program.

C.A.N.® (Career Access for Neurodiversity)

An online or clinic-based pre-vocational program serving teens and young adults with an autism spectrum disorder. The course covers career exploration, resume-building, interview preparation (i.e. greeting, body language) and allows participants to practice interview skills with a job coach, self-evaluate their performance and receive feedback for improvement. Each week participants take part in both small group and individual instruction with a Job Coach to receive video lessons, comprehension activities, guided practice, and homework assignments. Each participant is pre and post-tested to measure their progress over 12 weeks. C.A.N. includes 2 weekly sessions either at Grant a Gift Autism Foundation or online, weekly job coach support, an assigned caseworker, Parent Empowerment Training, and other family services provided by our Navigation Program.
