15th Annual Race for Hope 5K Welcomes 960 Participants & Raises $122,000 for Grant a Gift

On Saturday, April 13th, the Grant a Gift Autism Foundation - Ackerman Center held its 15th Annual RACE FOR HOPE 5K at Town Square Las Vegas. This year’s event saw the largest attendance record in history with 967 attendees (both in-person and virtual attendance)! Additionally, a record number of 36 resource fair vendors were in attendance providing valuable information to the community.

Ultimately, this year’s Race for Hope exceeded goals and raised over $122,000 that will go towards family-centered clinical care, therapy, and social programming for children and young adults living with autism and other neurodevelopmental differences.

“A big thank you to our wonderful community who joined us in celebrating Autism Acceptance and Awareness month at our annual Race for Hope 5K,” said Brian Hager, President of Grant a Gift Autism Foundation – Ackerman Center. “It is always so heartwarming to see us gather to celebrate all of our unique differences. Let us not just celebrate autism acceptance and awareness this month, but every day!”

Major sponsors for this year’s event included the Vegas Golden Knights, Gaudin Motor Company, and Southwest Gas. Their support, combined with the proceeds from the Race For Hope 5K, will go towards care, support, therapy, and social programming at the Ackerman Center so that we are able to help families in Southern Nevada receive necessary services when insurance does not cover the full cost.

Thank you as well to UR Water, Pinkbox Doughnuts, and Vegas Valley Balloons for your support in making event day an enjoyable experience!

To our valuable media partners - Sunny 106.5, Outdoor Solutions, Las Vegas Billboards, Reagan Outdoor Advertising, Clear Channel Outdoor, and Lamar Advertising Company - THANK YOU! The Race for Hope would not be as successful as it is without your reach across the Las Vegas Valley. Thank you for helping us spread the word!

Thank You Resource Fair Vendors

Bringing the community together to provide resources for families, kids, and young adults living with autism and other neurodevelopmental conditions is a big part of why we put on the Race for Hope 5K every year. Thank you to the incredible 36 community partners for joining us and displaying their goods and services at our Resource Fair presented by the Settle Down ABA, Accelerated Learning Clinic, and Mingo Health Solutions.
